Let me captivate your audience with engaging storytelling!

"Facts tell, and stories sell." I have learnt the importance of story-telling through Toastmasters International, teaching my students and through my mentors. Benefits of story-telling include: use of creativity, imagination and active participation. In order to captivate  the minds and wow an  audience, have some personal stories readily available.

Ever since I returned from south east Asia where I taught English, I have been bitten by the personal development bug. While in China, I enrolled in a course to become a certified independent John Maxwell coach, teacher and speaker. I enjoyed the program so much that upon my return to Canada I began attending several seminars and I was even nicknamed "seminar junkie." I acquired several nuggets such as "Formal education will make you a living; self-education will make you a fortune."
- Jim Rohn. It is through one of these personal development seminars that I learnt  how to write a book and became a published author. To date, I have published three books and one is forthcoming.

I am a life-long learner who enjoys personal development.

I have taught English and French internationally for over twenty years at all rungs of the academic ladder and can share with you the good, the bad and the ugly. My book The Naked Educator: Secrets to Surviving in China as an Expatriate, second edition will give you some insights about teaching overseas.

"I first heard Francisca speak at my Toastmasters club a few years ago and was impressed by her confidence and composure.

Francisca has evolved to become an engaging speaker and presenter. Her passion for public speaking has led her to achieve the designations of Distinguished Toastmaster and Certified World class speaking coach. I highly recommend her for her skills, knowledge and experience to help you take control of the stage."

Johnson Soans,   Financial Analyst

I am pleased to see that the author, Francisca Epale has produced a second edition of her book, The Naked Educator: Secrets to Surviving in China as an Expatriate. The title is much more captivating than the first edition which is The Naked Educator: How to Survive in the Middle Kingdom. This non-fiction book discusses in simple language her bitter-sweet journey while teaching English in China. Despite some obstacles she faced, she came out victorious. If you want to understand the nuances of Chinese culture, you need to buy a copy of this book!
